The competition for under 11's was first held in 2005. In 2011, the Cheeky Monkeys, a team of three and four year olds in the under 11's competition, actually caught more worms than the highest scoring team in the adult category - thus making them overall winners. The same thing happened the following year when the under 11's Olympixies team took the competition by storm with 102 worms - twenty more than the leading adult team.

Fancy dress winners

The Church Hill Charmers trophy has, in the past been presented to the winners of the fancy dress competition. Unfortunately, it bears the winners plaques for only 4 years:

1993 Windjammer, Dartmouth
1995 The Worm Doctors, Southleigh Caravan Park, Modbury
1996 The Japanese Fat Buggers, Southleigh Caravan Park, Modbury
2000 www.com, Blackawton

In recent years, fancy dress winners have been presented with medals. The most recent winners are:

2014

Adult: Worm War 1
Under 11's: Urm Catchers

John Barnes, Linda Hill, Capellia Andrews
Aiva, Henry, Isla
2015   Eva Scoble?/ Scoville?

In 2016, the Wormcharming Committee ruled that only one team would be selected as fancy dress winners - whether adult or under 11's. In addition, however it was agreed that the fancy dress judge could make a discretionary award to the best fancy dressed non-competitor if appropriate.

In 2014, a prize was awarded for the best contraption used to lure worms during "worming-up". This was won by the team, Hoose? - Smith - Turner (comprising Kaia, Barney & Raife).
